This salmon fillet was prepared in a Toaster Oven, yes you heard that right. I love love love this Breville toaster oven. It’s absolutely fabulous for all your toasting needs and also has special functions to bake, broil and even bake a 12-inch pizza. Has timers for all your baking needs so your food will come out perfect everytime.
Easy 15 minute Salmon fillet prepared in a toaster oven.
- 1-2 pound Salmon Fillet *(I used the tale end of the fish, the meat is thinner and cooks faster)
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 lemon thinly sliced
- Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- Red Pepper flakes (optional) *(if you like the heat)
Line a toaster oven tray with aluminum foil, or for healthier alternative use parchment paper.
Rub the fish with oil all around. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Adjust seasonings to your liking.
Place the lemon slices on top of the fish
Adjust the rack to the top level in your toaster oven and set it to broil. Set your timer to 15 minutes. The fish should be flaky when done. Be careful not to overcook the fish, or it will be dry.
You may need to adjust the cook time to more depending on the thickness of your fish fillet. Just set your toaster timer to 5-8 minutes more.
Best served with steamed rice and steamed vegetables.
